    INOVACOOP. Acts as Policyholder, Insured and First Beneficiary up to the debt amount in mortgage-related loans or housing leasing. The client also holds the Insured status.

Coverage for renovations and remodels whose cost is less than or equal to 30% of the insured value.

Electrical

Electrical emergency service: shorts, panels, outlets and installations. 2 events/year per insured asset, up to 50 SMDLV per event (includes materials and labor).

Locksmith

Door opening, change or repair of locks and padlocks due to key loss or mechanism failure. 2 events/year per insured asset, up to 50 SMDLV per event (includes materials and labor).

Glazing

Replacement and repair of accidentally broken glass in windows, doors and fixed furniture. 2 events/year per insured asset, up to 50 SMDLV per event (includes materials and labor).

When your mortgage is disbursed, the insurance activates automatically.

  2. 2 Fill in the insurance application form with the property data.
  3. 3 Attach the property title certificate and commercial appraisal.
  4. 4 Receive the policy by email and activate it in your monthly installment.

Claim submission

Report the event within the first 3 business days to speed up indemnification.
  1. 1 Call the 24/7 line or log in to the INOVACOOP portal.
  2. 2 Fill in the claim form with the event data.
  3. 3 Attach supporting docs: photos, police report (if applicable) and initial appraisal.
  4. 4 An adjuster visits the property to appraise the damages.
  5. 5 Receive the indemnification disbursement per policy conditions.
Report a claim

Insurance cancellation

Only after loan is paid
Cancellation only proceeds once the mortgage is fully paid.
  1. 1 Verify the mortgage is fully paid.
  2. 2 Request the loan clearance from INOVACOOP.
  3. 3 Fill in the policy cancellation form at the branch or portal.
  4. 4 Receive the cancellation confirmation and monthly installment adjustment.

Requirements for Fire and Earthquake insurance.

Membership as a partner

  • Original valid national ID card (or foreigner ID for non-Colombians).
  • Be of legal age (18+) to hold the product.
  • Fill in the single INOVACOOP membership form.
  • Personal-data handling authorization (Law 1581/2012).
  • Authorization to consult and report to credit bureaus.
  • Payment of the minimum membership social contribution.

General insurance requirements

  • Valid ID of the policyholder and insured (if different).
  • Insurance application form filled and signed.
  • SARLAFT form and source-of-funds declaration.
  • Payment of the initial premium (monthly, half-yearly or yearly).

Property documentation

  • Public deed or title certificate under 60 days.
  • Commercial appraisal and property blueprints.
  • Location, seismic zone and urban classification of the property.
  • Property inspection by the insurer.
Documents must be current and original. INOVACOOP may request additional information based on credit or risk analysis for the product.
